Diploma in Physical Therapy Aide

Physical Therapy is a term that refers to the practice of moving one’s body. In an environment where patients are recovering from injuries and illnesses and where care plans are being put in place to help patients with regaining mobility and managing pain, aides do their duties effectively. Aides are regularly called upon to do tasks such as cleaning and setting up the treatment area, transporting patients, and performing administrative or secretarial duties. Other tasks include the preparation of hot and cold packs, the cleaning of equipment, and assisting with the admission of patients. Aides are usually in charge of documenting the responses of patients to physical activity. Some Aides are also called upon to assist with marketing activities on a limited basis.
